Stepping Away for the Summer1 min read

In the last few weeks, I’ve really begun to ponder things and what I’m doing. I’ve been going full force since August last year and have dived head first into blogging after being burned out last summer. I think I’ve come to the summer doldrums once again and am going to be stepping back to focus on my most important responsibilities, my kids. I’ve been so busy as of late, that I haven’t even been making time to write and put new ideas out there. I am still going to be around, but I won’t be accepting guest posts for a while and am going to recharge a little bit. I’m going to be continuing to do my monthly net worth updates as well as my goal posts, but I think I’m going to leave it at that for now. You may get a post here and there from me as well.

I’m just feeling a lack of passion for writing as of late and have shifted more to just making memories with my kids over the summer. Evelyn is going to be starting kindergarten in the fall and I think that is weighing heavily on me. I want to be there more for the kiddos and give them my full attention. It’s a hard balance to keep, but something I am feeling pulled in the direction towards more and more.

I hope that you will continue to read my updates as we go along, but my posting frequency is going to be a bit less, at least for the summer. I hope you are enjoying your summer as well and are making progress on your financial goals as we are continuing to do so.

    • Thanks Claudia! Yeah, I just thought that giving my two girls my full attention this summer before we started the school season would be a good idea!

  1. Awww – kindergarten?! That’s a big deal!! Enjoy your time off with your family. I’m working on a August meet up date so I’ll keep you guys posted!
