Looking good. A good positive month moving up on the net worth. I will probably do one quartet but will do investment accounts monthly.

Thanks Doug! We were very happy with where we ended up this month!
Fantastic! Love seeing your progress and more importantly your positive, action-oriented attitude!

Thanks Derek! We are having a good time while focusing on making our future brighter! Love being a SAHD now too! It’s a lot of work but really worth it overall!
Lots of people I know would love to have 1 parent stay at home but they simply can’t afford to make ends meet. What was pushed you to make the change from a 2 income to 1 income family?
Hey Akash, thanks for taking the time to visit and comment! My wife had the opportunity to renegotiate her position at work, so we were able to get much closer to our current income with both of us working. It was a lot more than the money though. We have much more time with our girls now since we aren’t rushing out the door to get them to daycare, I’m able to keep up with the housework as well as getting dinner prepared more so that when my wife gets home, we can focus our time more on hanging out as a family! I actually wrote a post recently about my first month as a stay at home dad here: https://myfamilyonabudget.com/3-things-ive-learned-as-a-stay-at-home-dad/
Akash, mainly it was time with our girls and the ability to slow down our schedule so that we were actually home with the girls more than they were with the daycare. It has been a fantastic 2 and a half months so far!
Plus, now I get to focus my creative energies on building my site and sharing our journey along the way!
